Counterfeit electronics are a huge challenge for everyone and that includes the US Air Force. How would you know if the Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) component purchased from an online retailer really is what it says it is - nothing extra and nothing missing in both hardware and software? Would you have any idea where all the parts in it actually came from, or if the supply is going to be secure in the future? The solution developed with our partners Supply Dynamics and Brunel University - London delivered exactly that to win the AFWERX Microelectronics Supply Chain Provenance Challenge over a field of more than 100 competing companies!
Our Virtual Factory for Legacy Parts combines the 2D to 3D conversion expertise of Physna, the Supply Dynamics command of material sourcing and agile software development, the Xometry additive and digital production network, and the artificial intelligence expertise of Blue Roof Labs to deliver the latest additive and digital manufacturing technologies.
We partnered with Supply Dynamics to create a project that tracks supply chain risks. Through machine learning, our supply chain risk project assigns risk values to vendors and products and provides actionable recommendations while keeping track of individual events and situation statuses.
Base infrastructure for water, sewage, electricity and information distribution is a lot like a person’s digestive, nervous, and cognitive systems: no one gives them a second thought until they don’t work! By integrating Virtual Sensor Networks (VSNs) and graph models optimized with Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) into the Base of the Future’s design and operation, we can increase operational resilience and mission effectiveness throughout the facility lifecycle.
